Quick Start Guide

Build and deploy your first AI voice agent in under 5 minutes.

This guide takes you from zero to a working voice agent. By the end, you'll have an AI agent that can handle real phone calls.

What you'll need

  • A Wozena account — sign up free (takes 30 seconds)
  • No credit card required to start
  • You get 3 free test call minutes during your trial

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to wozena.com/signup and create your account with email or Google sign-in.

After signing in, you'll land on the Dashboard — your command center showing agents, calls, campaigns, and activity.

Trial limitations

During the 3-day trial, you can build and test agents freely. To make real phone calls or start campaigns, you'll need to add a payment method.


Step 2: Build Your First Agent

Open the Builder

Click "New Agent" from the dashboard or navigate to Agents → Create Agent.

Talk to the AI Co-Pilot

The builder opens with a chat interface. Describe what you want your agent to do. Be specific — the more detail you give, the better the result.

Great prompt example:

"I want to build an outbound appointment reminder agent for a dental clinic called BrightSmile. The agent should call patients by name, mention their appointment type (cleaning, checkup, consultation), confirm if they can make it, and offer to reschedule if not. Agent name: Maya. Warm and professional tone. Transfer number for the front desk: +15551234567."

What the co-pilot does next:

  1. 🎯 Asks clarifying questions (voicemail handling, calendar integration, etc.)
  2. 🎤 Helps you pick a voice (500+ options)
  3. 📊 Suggests post-call analysis fields
  4. 🔨 Generates the complete conversation flow

Review the Flow

The generated flow appears in the visual canvas editor on the right side. You'll see nodes for:

  • 💬 Conversation nodes — what the agent says
  • 🔀 Logic splits — branching based on caller responses
  • 📞 Transfer nodes — hand off to humans
  • 📅 Schedule nodes — book appointments
  • 🔚 End call nodes — wrap up the conversation

Step 3: Test Your Agent

This is the fun part!

You'll have a real conversation with your AI agent through your browser microphone.

Click the "Test" button in the builder toolbar.

A phone-style dialog opens. Click "Start Call" — your browser connects to the AI agent.

Talk naturally — test different scenarios:

  • What if the caller says yes?
  • What if they want to reschedule?
  • What if they're not interested?
  • What if they ask a question the agent doesn't expect?

After the call ends, you'll see:

Not perfect? Click "Send to Co-Pilot" — the transcript is sent back to the AI which suggests specific improvements.


Step 4: Deploy Your Agent

Click "Deploy" in the builder toolbar.

Configure your agent:

  • Agent name — what it's called in your dashboard
  • Voice — confirm or change the selected voice
  • Language — English (default) or other supported languages

Click "Deploy Agent" — your agent is now live and ready for calls! 🎉

What happens during deployment?

Wozena converts your visual flow into a format the voice platform understands, creates the agent configuration, and activates it. This typically takes 5-10 seconds.


Step 5: Make Real Calls

To go beyond test calls, you need three things:

💳 1. Add a Payment Method

Go to Settings → Billing and complete the Stripe checkout. This activates your Pro subscription ($475/month) and enables all calling features.

📱 2. Purchase a Phone Number

Navigate to Phone Numbers → click "Get Number". Choose your preferred area code. Cost: $2/month per number.
